So, since we are heading towards another round of senate elections, in a couple of weeks, I figured this is as good a time as any to present a report on the region's occurences and what not.
Since this is the first report, I'll start by briefly describing the system in the region.
Primarily, everything in the region is guided by party politics. We have a handful of parties belonging to different areas of the left-right spectrum. Constitutionally, all citizens have the right to be part of a party. Hence, everyone, from the Prime Minister to the Justices in the High Court to the common citizens are affiliated to a party.
Broadly, the administration can be divided into four parts - The Monarchy, The Cabinet, The Senate and The High Court.
The Monarchy consists of the founder delegate United Dark Republic and whomsoever he chooses as dukes and duchesses. The primary duties of the Monarch is to organise the elections and other regional events. He does play a small role in administration but that's about it. Everything is left to the elected officials.
The Cabinet is led by the Prime Minister. Each official has a term of 6 months. The Prime Minister himself cannot seek re-election after two continuous terms. Every official is elected for, on an individual basis. Hence, in terms of party politics, the cabinet has quite a range of officials affiliated to different parties. For instance, the PM is affiliated to LDP, while his deputy is affiliated to ACT and so on.
The Senate is divided into two classes. The only difference between the two classes is the election period. While both serve 6 months, Class I had their elections in July and Class II is soon going to have their elections, with inauguration in October. Currently, a coalition between ACT-LDP-SOC rule the senate. The current chancellor is from the SOC party.
The High Court consists of one chief justice and four associate justices. These appointments are made by the Prime Minister who recommends a name, which is either approved or denied by a public poll. If approved, they become a justice. Justices vote among themselves to chose a chief justice who leads them.
And so that's it. Broadly, that's the system of NWA. Now on to the recent occurences.
Broadly, I recommend this article to sum up what happened in the last month -

In this month, a couple of major occurences took place.
First, during the initial weeks, the Communication Minister, Pink Sheep, decided to leave the region briefly. That led to his deputy, Lucenzia becoming the minister. However, shortly after, he returned and so, was appointed as the deputy shortly after.
In the meantime, the chancellor, Becklana decided to step down due to personal reasons. Soon after, as Pink Sheep had served as chancellor before, he was appointed as the chancellor once again.
Soon after, as the military bill had passed earlier, the PM presented his first candidate for the post of Marshall of the military. It was Muko, who was a senator at the time and been involved in the region for a while. This led to debates and discussions and ultimately, senate majority approved of him but only by 10-8. As it wasn't a 2/3 majority, he was not appointed. Soon after, the PM was involved in a tussle with the senate over accusations that such negative votes were baseless and so on. Hence, currently, the military is without a suitable head, with its very fate hanging on a thin rope.
Apart from this, things have been quiet in the region. The roleplay is going nicely, with a new news network for it being established -

And with that, the region is bracing for the elections that are expected to commence in the coming days, filled with great enthusiasm and zeal, debates and accusations flying all over, and promises being made and broken. Fun times!
So yep! That's it for this edition!
Have a wonderful day!
