General good rp rules:
1. No godmodding: Don’t establish things about the world that are outside of your character’s direct control. You have narrative control, but only so long as this control is limited and does not get in the way of other players’ narrative control. You may only establish major things about the universe in the worldbuilding thread of the setting.
2. No metagaming: Don’t play your character as if they know everything you know about the world and other characters.
3. No multi-posting: Keep your posts concise, and avoid posting twice in a row. Make sure that everyone in a game has an equal opportunity to contribute to the story.
Respect other players’ characters:
1. You may not establish anything about someone else’s character without their permission.
2. Do not establish things about the previous or current relationship between multiple characters without permission from the permission of each player involved.
3. Character conflict happens, and your character is not perfect. Always be willing to accept defeat if that defeat will advance the story or move it to a satisfying resolution.
4. Evil characters should always be self-serving more than sadistic.
Style rules:
1. Threads of the following types should be begin with the relevant tag in the title:
[IC]: In-character roleplay threads
[OOC]: Out-of-character signup or discussion threads
[WB]: Worldbuilding threads
2. Abide by good spelling and grammar rules. Not every post has to be Pulitzer prize material, but it should be easily legible.
3. Determine a perspective (ex. First person, third person omniscient) for each game to be narrated in, and remain consistent with that perspective
4. Put all dialogue in quotation marks.
