It's always nice to start 2021 off with some nice awards, so let's give those out now shall we?
On the recommendation of senior member(s) of the community, I would like to bestow the following award to a few members of the legislature:
First, TimS (Toms) has been on the legislature for 3 terms (not counting sitting on the Legislature's previous iteration(s)). During these terms, he's been an active and engaged legislator. Always keeping an eye on the wording of a law or amendment, his keen eye and faithful devotion to whatever project he's involved in (legislating or otherwise) deserves some recognition.
Therefore, I hereby award TimS the Service to Spiritus Medal for his longstanding and continuous contributions to Spiritus.
Next, it takes a certain someone to keep the legislature in line and on time. This individual, Chair Potato Louisistan, keeps such a decorum while adding his own personality to the mix. Having served a term and a bit in the position, the Chair's gavel came down with the punctuality we came to expect from him. Of course, his determination to look at all aspects of a proposed legislation or problem, and his patience with allowing civil discussion, set him as a name synonymous with lawmaking.
Therefore, I hereby also award Louisistan the Service to Spiritus Medal for his determination and commitment to the legislative institution of Spiritus.
Finally, and this one is a little late, it takes effort to create and enact a large, creative work. I would like to therefore recognize dootishian for their world building prowess and creativity, as well as initiative, in starting a new roleplaying world here in Spiritus. This region is one of trying newer things, and it takes a certain someone to push something forward.
Therefore, I hereby award dootishian the Green Heart Award for their contribution to the culture of Spiritus.
With that, I also would like to extend to the region a wonderful 2021!
